The prepregnancy, or preconception phase, is an important time for women to focus on her own health and prepare for pregnancy.
 
All women of reproductive age can benefit from considering their health before entering pregnancy, since almost half of pregnancies are unplanned or unintended. 

The pre-pregnancy phase looks different for every woman with her own baseline health status and unique circumstances.

 

The goals of this phase are to create healthy habits to increase the chances of having a healthy pregnancy and healthy baby.
